Ms. Marvel debuts a new spot for its upcoming premiere on the Disney Plus streaming service with “Fantasy.”

I’m trying to go into this show with an open mind, but it’s looking like a big mess based on how the character has been changed so much, and that includes from its original iteration as Carol Danvers also including to its woke Marvel NOW! comic book, as Feige nixed the Inhuman origin and stretchy powers to something resembling Green Lantern.

Questions: Can anybody put on the bracelet and become “Ms. Marvel?” Why would a non-powered teenager be allowed to have this amount of power? Same for Ironheart. Same for Sam Alexander “NINO” Nova, etc. It’s laughable. It’s the equivalent of a child soldier or letting a child have a weapon of mass destruction. It’s the definition of wokeness: Having a crappy story in order to have PC characters that service an agenda (you can’t come up with something better?). A character like Spider-Man has inherent powers and you can’t just put on his suit and become Spider-Man (well, maybe in the MCU you can – lol).

Regarding the wokness, I also think Ms. Marvel will be a big disaster if the character is all about political oppression, which the character actually says in the cringe Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order video game. No, thanks.

It could very well be possible that Ms. Marvel simply isn’t for me, as Moon Knight is more up my alley, and that’s fine, but I just hope Feige and his woke producing crew can resist the temptation to make the character all about politics.

Again I am going to keep an open mind and Iman Vellani seems cool enough, so we’ll see.

Ms. Marvel is Fantasy Cosmic, indeed.

The show premiers June 8, 2022 and stars Iman Vellani, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha. The directors include Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
