This is rather hilarious as the MCU’s Ms. Marvel, Iman Vellani, didn’t like the Captain Marvel movie and gave it a bad review and also wasn’t thrilled with Disney Star Wars.
Iman Vellani’s Letterboxd account has been unearthed where she posted a review for Captain Marvel giving it only two stars, but she did say she likes Brie Larson.
“These stars are not for Brie Larson,” she said. “I will sacrifice my own life…for Brie Larson.”
What is interesting is that Vellani posted the review on Feb. 27, 2019, but Captain Marvel was released on March 8, so apparently, Vellani got to see an early release.
Iman Vellani on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker:
Regarding Star Wars, Vellani gave The Rise of Skywalker two and a half stars and apparently didn’t like the return of The Emperor as she said, “Does being dead mean nothing?”
Iman Vellani on Tenet:
Her account also lists her favorite films, which includes Iron Man, and she recently rated Christopher Nolan’s Tenet three stars noting, “Ok ok now explain it like I’m a child.”
Iman Vellani Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer:
Iman Vellani also wasn’t a fan of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, as she watched it in July, and gave it two stars echoing a lot of fans’ complaints: “Don’t be shy, show Galactus.”
Iman Vellani on Spider-Man 3:
Vellani also rated Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 four and a half stars with: “This is so unironically great.”
