Scott Eastwood Rumored For Wonder Woman’s Love Interest

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19876:]]

While it has been confirmed Scott Eastwood will be featured in Suicide Squad, the son to actor Clint Eastwood’s role is currently unknown.

However, online speculation is leading to Scott Eastwood possibly playing Steve Trevor, who in the comics is the love interest to Wonder Woman.

The new DC Comics have Steve Trevor and Amanda Waller discussing the Amazons, with Trevor serving as a goverment liason to the Amazons as well. Steve Trevor has also been attached to various groups including ARGUS, Team 7 and Justice League Of America.

“I’m doing a movie up there called Suicide Squad,” Eastwood confirmed to Canada’s eTalk, as the film is shooting in Toronto. “I can’t tell you anything. It’s all under shhhh.”

Ben Affleck Will Be Able To Turn Head As Batman

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19875:]]

It’s learned the redesign of the new Batman suit for Batman Vs. Superman will make the costume more comfortable and flexible for Ben Affleck.

Costume designer Michael Wilkinson, who also worked on Man Of Steel, told fashionista.com that getting the new Batman suit right was paramount to director Zack Snyder.

“That’s actually one of the first things that Snyder mentioned to me in one of our initial meetings,” Wilkinson said. “It’s a very important thing to Zack that the Batsuit would be comfortable and very flexible, but then would be able to perform in a very natural and forceful way. So a lot of incredible engineering went into the development of the new black cowl.”

Interestingly enough, when Ben Affleck was cast as the new Batman, Christian Bale’s advice for Affleck was “to tell the costume designer to make sure the cowl doesn’t feel like the Joker is sitting on your shoulders every time you try to turn your head.”

Bale also said it took three people 20 minutes to take the cowl off of his head and that he found it “ridiculously unheroic” when he needed help to “take a pee.”

So actually it sounds as if Zack Snyder is going for a more realistic approach for his new Batman costume than even Christopher Nolan’s approach, and the Batman costume has come a long way from the Michael Keaton design, which had no neck movement at all.

Update: THR has further comments from Wilkinson where it doesn’t sound as if the new Ben Affleck costume is all that more convenient.

“It does involve multiple costumers,” admitted costume designer Michael Wilkinson, adding that turning the actor into the DC Entertainment superhero is “not the sort of thing that I could just sit in Ben’s trailer and he gets into it himself. It’s a six-handed operation.”

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto in new character roles for the film. Justice League is to follow directed by Zack Snyder as well.

James Gunn’s The Belco Experiment Gets Director Greg McLean

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19873:]]

James Gunn‘s next project is moving forward as a director has been announced on The Belco Experiment with Greg McLean.

McClean is known for the Wolf Creek movies; Gunn will be onboard as producer.

Gunna announced the following on Facebook:

I’m incredibly excited to announce that we’re commencing production on a new film, The Belco Experiment, from my own script. The story revolves around the American Belco company in South America which is mysteriously sealed off at the beginning of a work day, and its employees are ordered to kill each other or be killed themselves. This starts an escalation of violence, where we discover the true nature of each and every Belco employee.

The film will be directed by Greg McLean, who directed the Wolf Creek films, and it will be produced by myself, and Peter Safran, who produced Annabelle and The Conjuring. MGM will be financing. We’re in pre-production now and will be shooting in Bogota, Colombia in early June of this year.

I cannot tell you how passionate and excited I am about this project! It’s a script I wrote a few years ago, for which I have always had a deep love. Believe it or not, it’s a film that first came to me in a dream, and I woke up and wrote the first draft in a two-week fugue state binge.

One of the first people to ever read the script, Jonathan Glickman, carried it around with him for years until becoming President of MGM, when he approached Peter Safran and I about financing it. I was all for it, providing two things: 1) Although it has the heart and humor my films have all had, it is also the most intense and uncompromising script I’ve ever written. It would need to stay true to that. 2) I’d only do it if we found the right director – which, in some ways, I thought was unlikely.

Jon promised we’d make the film with full integrity – and, so far, MGM has – awesomely – been true to their word. And, after a long, concentrated search for a director we came to Greg McLean. Greg shares my philosophy about honesty in film, and his naturalistic style lends itself to Belco. The past few weeks we’ve spent working together have been a joy – I don’t know if I’ve ever related to another filmmaker’s sense of aesthetics and love of film more.

Anyway, stay tuned here on my Facebook page and my other social networking sites, as well as Greg’s Twitter (@GregECP) to follow the process of making the film. We want you guys to be a part of this film as we make it. We’ll announce more casting and crew decisions soon – believe me, plenty of familiar faces will be popping up along the way!

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19857:]]

The rating is still to be determined for the Merc With The Mouth movie.

Fans of the comics know that Deadpool could easily go the R-Rated route; however, that was one thing that seemed to be holding up the movie from getting made in that Fox Studios executives didn’t think an R-rated “superhero” movie could make it.

Fox Rebooting X-Men? Hugh Jackman Teases Last Wolverine Movie

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19847:]]

Despite stating a month ago he would like to play Wolverine as long as possible, Hugh Jackman has just posted a rather interesting message on Instagram.

“Wolverine… One last time,” Jackman stated.

It’s unknown if the statement is in regards to X-Men: Apocalypse or the sequel to The Wolverine, but it suggests Hugh Jackman is finished with Wolverine following his next appearance.

Jackman hasn’t been confirmed for Apocalypse as of yet, but has been said to be a part of The Wolverine 2 along with Patrick Stewart.

Jackman’s cryptic message lends credence to Fox possibly rebooting the X-Men franchise and bringing the characters into the here-and-now (as the movies are set within the past).

Jennifer Lawrence just said that X-Men: Apocalypse will be her last X-Men movie as well, and Nicholas Hoult also said X-Men: Apocalypse is the last X-Men movie that he is signed on for, but did add he would like to keep making them.

Update: Director James Mangold has confirmed the tease is for The Wolverine 2.

X-Men: Apocalypse has a May 27, 2016 release; The Wolverine 2 is due out in 2017.
