Justice League Cast & Footage Speculated For Comic-Con

Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman are already confirmed for Comic-Con, but Warner Bros. has made no mention of Justice League.

When asked, Ben Affleck did state, “Yep. We’ll be there.”

It’s possible that Ben Affleck, Zack Snyder and the cast of the Justice League will show up Saturday at Comic-Con as a surprise during WB’s big Hall H presentation.

The last couple of years has seen WB show up big time at Comic-Con, which included Batman Vs. Superman and Suicide Squad last year in addition to the reveal of DCEU concept art. Previous to that saw the DC Trinity appear for the first time with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot on stage revealing a first look at Wonder Woman. The prior year saw Zack Snyder make the announcement for Batman Vs. Superman.

In THR‘s report on WB’s presence at Comic-Con, they speculate the Justice League will show up as well, noting, “…it’s hard to imagine there won’t be a surprise appearance by the Justice League cast and a splashy sizzle reel from the film to accompany them.”

With Marvel Studios appearing this year (they skipped out on Comic-Con last year) bringing Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Doctor Strange and Black Panther (possibly more with Captain Marvel speculated), it’s probably safe to assume DC will answer with the Justice League cast.

WB’s Hall H presentation with the confirmed cast of Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad takes place Saturday, July 23, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

“Justice League” has a November 17, 2017 release directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe as an Atlantean.

LEGO Batman Movie Reveals Comic-Con Teaser, Joker & Robin

Check out a short Comic-Con teaser for the LEGO Batman movie as well as images of the Joker and Robin.

While the Robin looks a lot like the Carrie Kelley version, apparently it’s not as the character is voiced by Michael Cera. Joker is voiced by Zach Galifianakis (via USA Today).

“The Joker sees himself on the same level as Batman, a peer, at the top of the game,” director Chris McKay says. “But Batman says that’s not the case, which sends Joker into a spiral trying to prove to Batman that he is indeed the greatest enemy.”

“Robin is a super-positive kid who always sees the glass as half full. Really, at the end of the day, he just wants a hug,” McKay says. “Michael brings the sweetness and honesty.”

Lego Batman hits February 10, 2017 also starring Will Arnett as Batman, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, and Mariah Carey as Mayor Marion Grange.

Batman Vs. Superman Oracle Easter Egg Spotted

While Jena Malone was revealed not to be playing Barbara Gordon in Batman Vs. Superman, it turns out the character is at least referenced in the form of an Oracle Easter Egg and may have helped Bruce Wayne crack Lex Luthor’s Justice League code.

An eagle-eyed fan on Reddit posted a screen grab from Batman Vs. Superman of the Batcomputer where Bruce Wayne connected to the Oracle Network to decrypt the Lex file.

Of course, Barbara Gordon in the comics is known as the computer hacker/tech specialist behind Birds of Prey (the character is also rumored to be appearing in Supergirl).

The Oracle Easter Egg could also reference a run in with the Joker, again as in the comics, the Joker shot and paralyzed Barbara Gordon. Interestingly enough, Oracle made her first appearance in an issue of Suicide Squad, the next DCEU movie.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter as Senator Finch and Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves.

Synopsis:

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Bryan Cranston Apogizes To David Yost Over Blue Ranger Comments From 7 years Ago

Following up on the story we reported from about a week ago that saw original Blue Ranger David Yost call Bryan Cranston a homophobe, now Cranston has publicly apologized for his remarks from seven years ago.

“To be honest, I don’t remember saying that,” Cranston told NBC News through his publicist. “But I accept that I may have as Mr. Yost suggests, in an attempt at humor. To hear that my impulsive comment hurt someone’s feelings, makes me contrite. I accept responsibility for the thoughtless remark and apologize to Mr. Yost and anyone else who may have been offended.”

Yost has since deleted the tweet, but offered to NBC News that he experienced a very difficult time on the set of The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers dealing with others and his homosexuality and was displeased by Cranston’s remarks in an interview with IGN that took place in 2009.

The Blue Ranger was named after Bryan Cranston who did voice work for the original series, and Cranston has since been cast in the new Power Rangers movie as Zordon.

Cranston is also well known for his support of LGBT rights.

David Yost recently posed in a pic alongside new Blue Ranger RJ Cyler (see below) and has a new movie coming out with The Order.
