Season Two Premiere Details
Apple TV will release the first episode on February 27. New episodes will roll out every Friday through May 1. The season spans 10 episodes and picks up with Monarch’s future — and the planet’s — hanging by a thread.
Season one followed two siblings tracing their connection to Monarch, leading them to Army officer Lee Shaw in two timelines. Season two expands that arc, bringing the cast back to Kong’s Skull Island and to a new village tied to a Titan rising from the sea.
What the New Season Covers
The story pushes deeper into Monarch’s past and its ripple effects on the present. Allies and enemies cross paths again. Old secrets surface. The threat of a Titan-level event hangs over everything. Expect more connections to the larger Monsterverse, with Godzilla looming over the season’s stakes.

Creative Team and Monsterverse Connections
Season two comes from Legendary Television with Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Chris Black, Jen Roskind, Matt Shakman, Lawrence Trilling, and Andrew Colville leading the production. Black serves as showrunner. Toho — the home of Godzilla — is involved through Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita.
Apple TV’s overall deal with Legendary includes more Monarch seasons and multiple Monsterverse spinoffs in development.
The Monsterverse Background
The Monsterverse launched with Godzilla (2014) and includes Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, and the massive hit Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The next movie, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, arrives in 2027. The franchise has earned more than $2.5 billion worldwide and expanded across games, comics, toys, and live events.
