More problems arise for the solo Batman movie as it's reported Matt Reeves has not signed on to direct the film.

Matt Reeves has been said to be WB's top choice to direct the Batman movie following Ben Affleck's departure, but according to THR talks have broken down between the studio and Reeves.

The report does mention there is still a possibility Matt Reeves could direct Batman if talks resume "when heads cool."

It's also said WB "is intent on making the movie no matter what as the Batman franchise has proven to bigger than one person."

Ridley Scott and Don't Breathe director Fede Alvarez are also said to be eyed to direct Batman by WB.

Ben Affleck recently departing directing Batman, but is staying on to produce and star.

Affleck previously released the following statement:

“There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions. Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.”
