Sebastian Stan Confirms Harvey Dent Turns Into Two-Face In The Batman: Part II

Sebastian Stan is opening up about joining The Batman: Part II, and it sounds like Harvey Dent’s Two-Face turn is coming in Matt Reeves’ sequel.

Speaking with Deadline, Stan said he will soon be heading to London over the summer for Reeves’ The Batman: Part II, where he’ll play “many roles in this one.”

Stan is referring to Harvey Dent, Gotham’s crime-fighting District Attorney who later becomes Two-Face after Sal “Boss” Maroni throws acid in his face, scarring one side and sending him into madness.

Sebastian Stan Talks The Batman: Part II

Stan told Deadline he is “excited” and “nervous” about the role as he prepares to enter Reeves’ Batman universe.

“I’m excited, I’m nervous and trying to keep surprising myself,” Stan said of taking on Two-Face.

The actor also mentioned working with the hair and makeup teams, who have already devised how Harvey Dent’s disfigurement will look in the movie.

That confirms Reeves isn’t only introducing Harvey Dent as Gotham’s District Attorney. The movie will also be dealing with his transformation into Two-Face.

Harvey Dent Joins Matt Reeves’ Gotham

Harvey Dent is one of Batman’s most important villains, usually starting as an ally in Gotham’s war on crime before becoming one of the city’s most tragic monsters.

In the comics and previous adaptations, Dent is Gotham’s District Attorney and works against organized crime. His life changes after Sal Maroni attacks him with acid in court, leaving one side of his face scarred.

Dent later becomes Two-Face, a villain obsessed with chance, duality, and his signature coin flip.

Stan’s “many roles” comment points directly to that split between Harvey Dent and Two-Face, which fits the psychological crime-drama tone Reeves built with The Batman.

Stan is best known to comic book movie fans as Bucky Barnes, a role he has played across the Captain America movies, Avengers films, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Thunderbolts.

Now he is moving from Marvel to DC with one of Batman’s most iconic villains.
