Marvel’s Next Big Villain Revealed: Rita Ora

Move over Robert Downey Jr.! The MCU has a new big bad, and it’s reportedly Rita Ora who is said to have landed a role as a Marvel villain.

Rita Ora is a British singer, songwriter, television personality, and actress, and she’s the wife of Thor director Taika Waititi. She’s known for Fifty Shades of Grey, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, Twist, Wonderwell, and Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight. Rita Ora recently landed a role in the live-action Voltron movie which also stars Henry Cavill.

According to the UK’s The Sun, Rita Ora has signed up for the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a villain role for a new MCU movie.

What is said about Rita Ora in the MCU?

The site says that while Rita Ora was at the recent British Fashion Awards, someone overheard the actress talking about her new Marvel role.

It’s said that when someone commented on what Rita Ora was wearing – as “Rita was dressed like a baddie from a Marvel film” – she let it slip that she is in a new Marvel movie.

“She confirmed she had landed the role of someone evil and that she was super excited about getting stuck into it,” reports the site.

Regarding what Rita Ora was wearing at the event, per her above Instagram, she was basically a wearing a man’s oversized suit. She sports blond spikey hair and accessorizes with large clunky rings, bracelets, and earrings.

Who is Rita Ora playing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

While we don’t know who Rita Ora is playing, a guess could be that she has been added as a villain to Captain America: Brave New World.

It’s known the film is presently going through reshoots for at least the fourth time. A recent reshoot happened to add Giancarlo Esposito in a villain role as Sidewinder, so maybe they also added Rita Ora.
