Jonathan Majors’ days as Kang the Conqueror might be numbered as rumors are already offering Marvel is looking to replace the actor as the big bad villain, with the name Damson Idris surfacing as a potential replacement.
The 33-year-old actor was arrested for allegedly attacking his girlfriend after being out late on a Friday night, where Majors was arrested for three counts of assault in the third degree, aggravated harassment in the second degree, three counts of attempted assault in the third degree, and harassment in the second degree. Jonathan Majors is expected in court on May 8, where worth a mention is that the NYC DA didn’t drop the charges and Twitter users in the industry have also come out and revealed scathing allegations about the actor.
So if things continue to go sour with the actor, according to rumors, Marvel is already prepping for a new replacement actor which has seen the name of Damson Idris surface, who is known for Snowfall, Swarm, Outside the Wire, Black Mirror, and more. Similar to Jonathan Majors, the 31-year-old Damson Idris seems to be another up-and-coming popular black actor with the potential for big Hollywood fame.
Update: Majors’ talent manager and pr firm has dropped the actor.

Three separate rumors have come out about Jonathan Majors where two offer Marvel hasn’t made a decision as of yet but it seems Marvel is getting close to making a decision.
A third rumor actually offers Majors has already been recast from one of his latest movies.
Rumor #1:
Regarding the rumor of Damson Idris, it comes from Jeff Sneider via The Hot Mic on YouTube who says if Jonathan Majors exits the role, Marvel is looking at people similar to Damson Idris.
“Even though there hasn’t been any movement on the Jonathan Majors front, I’ve heard that’s the kind of actor, who, if Jonathan Majors got the boot as Kang, someone like Damson Idris is the type of the person that [Marvel] may look at to replace him if that, in fact, happens,” said Sneider.
Rumor #2:
Additional rumors via Grace Randolph offer that Jonathan Majors also hasn’t been recast as of yet and that Majors is still a part of Loki Season 2 and the Loki Season 2 trailer and that Marvel hasn’t made a decision as of yet.
Lawyers for Jonathan Majors recently released texts that show Majors’ girlfriend admitting she was at fault where it’s claimed she was “having an emotional crisis,” so Marvel may be waiting to see what happens with his upcoming court appearance next month.
Rumor #3:
Giant Frickin Robot also adds additional rumors that Jonathan Majors is already being removed from his role as Dennis Rodman in 48 Hours in Vegas and that the role is getting recast.
Regarding how Marvel could recast Kang, since the one true Kang hasn’t been revealed, it would be pretty simple to think that another Kang variant looks different, similar to how the Loki variants all look different.
