The Mandalorian Season 2 post-credit scene spoilers:
The scene brings us back to Jabba the Hutt’s palace on Tatooine where Bib Fortuna now sits on the throne.
Similar to the start of Return of the Jedi, The Mandalorian Season 2 post-credit scene starts off with someone killing the Gamorrean Guard to gain access, and that someone is Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand who uses a blaster where she is followed by none other than Boba Fett.
“Boba. I thought you were dead,” says Bib Fortuna with a nervous laugh. “I had heard many rumors.”
Boba Fett’s reply is lifting his blaster and killing Bib Fortuna where Boba Fett sits at the throne, with Fennec Shand at his side drinking a blue drink.
The Mandalorian Season 2 season finale post-credit scene ends and reveals: “The Book of Boba Fett. Coming December 2021.”
So since Disney recently announced The Mandalorian Season 3 will premiere December 2021, it seems The Mandalorian Season 3 will be “The Book of Boba Fett.”
Recent rumors offered that Boba Fett would be replacing Pedro Pascal and Mando in The Mandalorian Season 3, which had to do with drama surrounding Pedro Pascal not wanting to wear a helmet, with it even said the show might kill off Pedro Pascal, but that didn’t happen.
Per the episode, we again saw that Mando took off his mask, and this time in front of everybody, so it seems things might not be as bad as the rumors state regarding Pedro Pascal, but that said, apparently The Mandalorian Season 3 is all about Boba Fett and not Mando for some reason instead of giving Boba Fett his own series.
Pedro Pascal did shoot down the rumors.
