Disney’s Big Game Spot Sounds Like A Threat To Fans: ‘You better like it — or else’

Disney has released a new “Big Game” spot teasing “What If” its various IPs never existed. That’s right, that means no Avengers, no Marvel, no Star Wars, no Mandalorian and Grogu, no The Bear, no Inside Out, no The Simpsons, no Lion King, no Frozen, no Serena Williams, and no Only Murders in the Building.

What’s actually pretty hilarious is you could make the case that those IPs would be better off without Disney. What if, indeed, eh???

So the spot features everyone’s favorites with a cringe voice-over by Josh Gad. Honestly, it sounds like it comes off as more of a threat from Disney, doesn’t it? LOL. Something like: “Well, you wouldn’t have this if it wasn’t for us, so you better like it no matter what.”

You better like it — or else

As the various characters and IPs end up disappearing, the voice-over says:

What if there was no galaxy far far away and there was no joy and they never did assemble. What if every second didn’t count and he never did remember who he was? What if she never did step into the arena and he didn’t see more butts and she never did let it go and no one ever did get murdered in this building? Then that would really suck, wouldn’t it?

Halfway through the spot, the video takes a turn, and the characters reappear:

But hey there is a galaxy far far away and there is joy and they did assemble and every second does count and he did remember who he was and she did step into the arena and he did see more butts and she did let it go and best of all a whole bunch of people did get murdered in this building. You got to be freaking kidding me and aren’t we lucky for that?

I guess we’d better take what we’re given and be grateful that Disney has been providing us with such great-quality content. Or the alternative is that it might all disappear.
