Following the son of Jabba the Hutt news, it’s also learned that Jon Favreau is bringing back the Imperial Warlord for The Mandalorian & Grogu.

Jonny Coyne will be reprising his role as the Imperial Warlord from The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 7.

Who is the Imperial Warlord?

In Episode 7, Season 3 of The Mandalorian, an Imperial warlord is featured as part of the Shadow Council, a secretive group of Imperial officials meeting via hologram. During the meeting, Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon updates the council on the Mandalorians’ plans to reclaim their homeworld, Mandalore. Gideon also raises concerns about the absence of Admiral Thrawn, a key villain in Star Wars lore (who then appears in Ahsoka). The Shadow Council operates covertly to undermine the New Republic. In the episode, the warlord discusses the potential profits from “plundering the hyperspace lanes,” prompting Captain Gilad Pellaeon to criticize his “hit-and-run operations” for drawing too much attention.
