Fandango has released another of its “Top 10” lists—this time, following Captain America: Brave New World, it’s Jurassic World Rebirth that tops the list.
Captain America: Brave New World was at #1
Back in December, Fandango revealed its list of the top 10 most anticipated movies of 2025.
Topping the list was Captain America: Brave New World, which, of course, we now know has bombed big time at the box office. However, worth pointing out is it’s still technically the #1 movie of 2025 worldwide—excluding China’s Ne Zha 2. However, that $400 million isn’t a good number at all. Not a lot of people went to see the film.
Jurassic World Rebirth takes the top summer spot
Now fast forward three months later and Fandango has revealed its list of top 10 most anticipated movies of the summer.
At #1 is Jurassic World Rebirth, which moved up from the #3 spot. Coming in second is Fantastic Four, up from #5 in the previous poll. In third is Mission: Impossible, which dropped one spot from #2. Taking fourth is James Gunn’s Superman, which made a big jump from #9. (When I ran my own poll after Fandango’s December list, Gunn’s Superman easily came out on top among Cosmic Book News readers.) At #5 is Thunderbolts, which didn’t even make the previous list.
Rounding out the rest: Ballerina at #6, 28 Years Later at #7, How To Train Your Dragon at #8, Lilo & Stitch at #9, and Freakier Friday at #10.
Fandango says it polled more than 5,000 moviegoers who were confirmed to have bought at least one movie ticket since January 2024.
