Jurassic World Rebirth brings the franchise full circle as Gareth Edwards returns the action to a dinosaur-infested island, where survival depends on staying quiet—and staying alive.
The film stars Jonathan Bailey as a paleontologist on a deadly mission, joined by Mahershala Ali and Scarlett Johansson, in a story that recaptures the original’s mix of wonder, fear, and high-stakes thrills.

“It really does feel that it’s welcoming people to really celebrate the original film,” director Gareth Edwards told Empire in their new Jurassic World Rebirth summer issue. “It has that wonder and awe, while not being scared to re-inject the thrill and the fear.”
Johansson plays skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure the genetic material.
“It hearkens back to the first one,” Johansson agrees. “It has a lot of good jump-scares, and the stakes are high.”

Jonathan Bailey plays Dr. Henry Loomis, a paleontologist tasked with a dangerous mission to retrieve DNA from deadly dinosaurs on a remote island lost to time.
“We wanted to recapture the idea that we are in the dinosaurs’ environment,” original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp said. “The last few movies were exploring the idea of, ‘Hey, what would it be like if they were in our environment?’ They did that very well, and now we wanted to explore how it felt to go back to theirs.”
