What do the rumors say?

Reports and rumors have offered that Marvel is moving away from Jonathan Majors as Kang not only due to the actor’s legal troubles but also the failure of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania at the box office.

It’s been said Marvel might move to using Doctor Doom instead of Kang the Conqueror.

So with Marvel said to be moving away from using Majors as the bad guy, it is speculated and rumored that The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty has been canceled.

At the same time, it is said Marvel is contemplating whether or not to recast.

“Executives discussed backup plans, including pivoting to another comic book adversary, like Dr. Doom,” stated a previous report by Variety about the crisis at Marvel. “A studio source notes that regardless of the actor’s legal issues, Marvel already had considered moving away from a Majors-led phase because of the box office performance of Quantumania, which will struggle to make a profit. ‘It gave people pause given that ‘Quantumania’ didn’t exactly land,’ the source says.”

It has been announced the Avengers: Secret Wars writer is now writing Kang Dynasty, but again, with the news that Majors is out, it’s fueling the speculation Kang Dynasty is canceled in favor of Secret Wars Part 1 and Part 2.
