With it rumored that Ben Affleck is leaving the Batman role (the latest says The Flash movie will be his last), it’s now being said that Jon Hamm may be the DCEU new Dark Knight.
According to gossip site Radar Online, former Mad Men star Jon Hamm wants the Batman role in the Matt Reeves movie.
“Jon’s gunning hard for the role,” a source told the site.
It’s said Jon Hamm is friends with Ben Affleck and realizes that Affleck has faced some criticism, but according to the site, Jon Hamm feels he is the better Batman.
It’s further said that Matt Reeves is a big fan of Mad Men and Jon Hamm.
“Matt thinks Jon is charming and was a big fan of Mad Men, so it seems like a great transition to him,” the source said.
Jake Gyllenhaal is also rumored for the new Batman, but the report states Jon Hamm would be a better choice because he is closer in age (46 years-old) to Ben Affleck (45-years-old) and would make the transition to a new Batman easier than the 36-year-old Gyllenhaal.
