Joe Manganiello has now doubled down on the Deathstroke teases.
After recently posting a video of Deathstroke from Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Manganiello followed it up by sharing an image of a Knightmare Deathstroke fan action figure on his Instagram Story.
The timing doesn’t look random. It looks coordinated (Manganiello even said that he better not be wasting his time), and it strongly suggests Manganiello is fully on board with a potential SnyderVerse return.

The Instagram Story follows his previous Deathstroke post that tagged Zack Snyder directly (watch below).
Now, with a second Deathstroke image circulating, it feels like Manganiello is keeping the character active in the public eye for a reason. Slade Wilson was positioned for bigger things in Snyder’s DC plans, and fans never saw that storyline completed, which also included starring as the villain of Ben Affleck’s The Batman movie.
We’ve been told the SnyderVerse is happening if Paramount completes its purchase of Warner Bros. Discovery, and right now, that outcome appears stronger than ever (even Deadline said so).
With the sale momentum shifting toward Paramount, chatter about restoring or continuing Snyder’s DC arc has intensified.
New Justice League Ideas From Zack Snyder?
According to what we’ve been told, Zack Snyder has new Justice League ideas ready to go. The concept wouldn’t simply pick up where things left off, it would evolve the storyline. That includes potential returns from major cast members tied to the original DCEU.
We’re told that Henry Cavill is onboard to return as Superman. Gal Gadot will be back as Wonder Woman. Jason Momoa is also said to be ready to return as Aquaman. The one uncertainty remains Ezra Miller. We’ve been told Miller returning as The Flash is doubtful, though Snyder has appeared to subtly reference Miller in recent DCEU-related Instagram activity.
What About Ben Affleck’s Batman?
Ben Affleck’s status as Batman is said to be up in the air.
We’ve been told the physical demands of the role are a concern, but Snyder wants him back.
Given Affleck’s strong working relationship with Snyder and the positive reception to his Batman performance, it’s hard to imagine he wouldn’t at least consider returning under the right conditions.
Zack has also posted many images of Affleck as Batman.
James Gunn’s DCU and the Paramount Factor
As for the current DCU leadership, we’ve been told James Gunn would be out as head of DC Studios, especially if Paramount completes the purchase of WBD.
Reports have described Paramount as more politically aligned with MAGA leadership, which would not align with Gunn’s woke approach to DC content. If the sale closes, the entire DCU structure could shift.
Right now, nothing has been officially announced. But Joe Manganiello’s continued Deathstroke teases, combined with increasing confidence in a Paramount acquisition, are fueling serious speculation.
If the SnyderVerse does return, Deathstroke appears ready to be part of it.
