Jennifer Lawrence Done With Mystique With X-Men: Apocalypse

Jennifer Lawrence Done With Mystique With X-Men: Apocalypse

That’s all she wrote for Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique.

MTV caught up with the Oscar-award winning actress and asked about filming X-Men: Apocalypse soon, where it’s noted it may be the last one (for Lawrence?).

“It is my last one, actually” Lawrence confirmed. “Yes.”

Her response is interesting as it’s been said X-Men: Apocalypse is to center around Mystique and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto.

Now we know she won’t be in a sequel, if there is one.

Speaking of sequels, now I’m actually wondering if Fox might be rebooting the franchise to bring the characters to the present. X-Men: Apocalypse takes place in the 1980s – honestly I could see Fox launching a new X-Men franchise in the here-and-now.

Of course another option would simply be to replace Jennifer Lawrence with anothe actress as Mystique is a shape-shifter (and previously played by Rebecca Romijn).

Jennifer Lawrence actually might make a good Captain Ms. Marvel for Marvel Studios.

X-Men: Apocalypse has a May 27, 2016 release directed by Bryan Singer.
