Following Jason Momoa offering that Aquaman clashes with both Batman and Cyborg in the Justice League movie, now while speaking with Total Film magazine offers up details about the upcoming James Wan Aquaman film.
“[Justice League offers] just a snippet of [Aquaman’s] life,” says Jason Momoa. “There won’t really be a lot of explanation in the [Justice League] movie about Aquaman. You get to see why he’s a gruff, tough character, and why he’s just a bit of a punk sometimes.”
Regarding the Aquaman movie, Momoa says, “It’s the whole origin story for sure. You’ll see young Arthur and everything. It goes from before he was born… it’s the whole mythology of it.”
Aquaman has a December 21, 2018 release starring Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm the Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, with Temuera Morrison as Aquaman’s father, Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman is playing the mother to Aquaman, Queen Atlanna, and Dolph Ludgren is King Nereus.
