James Gunn’s ‘Superman’: Cleveland Set Images Tease Lex Luthor Spoilers

We get more set images out of Cleveland, the birth place of the Man of Steel, for James Gunn’s Superman movie, this time teasing Lex Luthor.

Previous set images revealed a bookstore seemingly paying homage to Curt Swan and George Reeves, with mention of the Daily Planet.

Gunn has also been filming Kent farm house scenes in Georgia.

Note: Potential spoilers follow.

LuthorCorp involved

Superman set images reveal what appears to be a military base and vehicles which happen to be labeled “LuthorCorp.” See below.

No details are known, but we can take a guess.

It’s interesting the vehicles are labeled “LuthorCorp” and not “LexCorp,” which possibly suggests Lionel Luthor might be involved in the movie, who is the father of Lex Luthor.

Nicholas Hoult plays Lex in the movie and actually told Smallville‘s Michael Rosenbaum that he likes his version of Lex the best. Well, Smallville happened to feature Lionel Luthor and LutherCorp.

Possibly what is going on in Gunn’s Superman is that Lionel Luthor or Lex’s LutherCorp has a government contract similar to Blackwater in the real world, and LutherCorp is a military contractor who does black ops for the American government.

Maybe LutherCorp is doing something they shouldn’t be doing in a foreign country, and David Corenswet’s Superman gets involved?

The use of LuthorCorp could also suggest that Lex will gain control of the company at some point, and the company will then become LexCorp. In the comics, Lex even becomes President of the United States.
