James Gunn's Creature Commandos Trailer Released At NYCC

The DCU officially kicks off with James Gunn’s Creature Commandos animated series in December. Gunn and DC released the second trailer Saturday at the New York Comic-Con. The first was released in July At Comic-Con.

“You wanted monsters? You got motherf*ckin’ monsters,” the trailer teases. “From James Gunn, comes the new DC Studios and Max Original Series Creature Commandos. Streaming December 5th, exclusively on Max.”

Gunn added on social media, “My pride in this project couldn’t be greater. A pleasure from start to finish with everyone involved. From DC Studios, here’s the full trailer for the beautiful, horrible and tragic Creature Commandos. Only on @streamonMax on Dec 5.”

Gunn also talked about the Superman trailer, said David Corenswet is going to blow people the f’k away, and dropped spoiler info for the Supergirl movie.

What is Creature Commandos about?

The seven-episode series, co-produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails…they’re your last, worst option.

The voice cast includes includes Steve Agee as Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot & Weasel, David Harbour as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as The Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

James Gunn is Executive Producer and Writer, with Dean Lorey as Executive Producer.
