Jake Gyllenhaal will be making his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the villain of the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, Mysterio.
The 37-year-old actor has been a favorite choice to play a comic book character for quite a while as he tried out for the Sam Raimi Spider-Man and also was a favorite to play Batman.
Now we see the actor has chosen to go the villain route, and one that has a lot of fans both excited and questioning whether he can pull it off.
I’m super excited for Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, and to add to that, Michael Keaton is also returning as Vulture, so it’s possible we may eventually see the MCU Sinister Six (I’m still waiting for a comic version of Rhino).
