Apple TV + has released the trailer for Invasion season 3, with the sci-fi series returning to Apple TV+ on Friday, August 22.
Invasion Ramps Up Global Stakes
The new season of Invasion brings its main characters together for the first time as they launch a coordinated mission to infiltrate the alien mothership. The invaders have escalated their efforts, spreading across Earth. Season 3 puts the focus on collaboration, as old relationships are tested and new ones form amid the chaos.

What is Season 3 about?

Invasion follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. In season three, those perspectives collide for the first time, as the series’ main characters are brought together to work as a team on a critical mission to infiltrate the alien mothership. The ultimate apex aliens have finally emerged, rapidly spreading their deadly tendrils across our planet. It will take all our heroes working together, using all their experience and expertise, to save our species. New relationships are formed, old relationships are challenged and even shattered as an international cast of characters must become a team before it’s too late.
Cast and Release Schedule
The returning cast includes Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Shane Zaza, and Enver Gjokaj. Erika Alexander joins as a new series regular.
The season will feature 10 episodes. The premiere airs August 22, followed by weekly Friday releases through October 24.
Creative Team and Background
Invasion is created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil, who also executive produce with Audrey Chon, David Witz, Alik Sakharov, Dan Dietz, Katie O’Connell Marsh, and Nick Nantell.
The series debuted in 2021 and has received praise for its visuals and evolving narrative. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Apple TV+.
