While fans have been waiting for an announcement about the next project from Henry Cavill, it’s probably not the announcement they wanted, as the Superman actor is announced to be starring in the Netflix Witcher Saga series.
Fans were hoping for Henry Cavill to return as Superman for Man of Steel 2, but the actor and Warner Bros. have been said to playing hardball in negotiations. On one end, it’s said Cavill’s manager wants him to be paid as an A-lister, but on the other end, WB apparently thinks otherwise. Warner Bros. also announced plans for a Supergirl movie where the Hollywood trade sites offered up it could be a vessel to replace Henry Cavill.
And now we see Henry Cavill signs on with Netflix for Witcher as the starring role of Geralt of Rivia in an eight episode series.
While doing press for Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Cavill actually said he wanted the role.
