Don’t count Henry Cavill out as Superman as the actor may not be done with the DCEU just yet! Now the Man of Steel takes to Instagram to have some fun on today’s news!
“Today was exciting,” Henry Cavill posted along with a video of himself wearing a “Krypton Lifting Team” t-shirt.
The video features what sounds like Cavill’s dog, Kal, barking in the background with the actor showing off a figure of himself as Superman which looks to include a pic of Black Panther (or Killmonger), as Michael B. Jordan is rumored for the new Man of Steel.
Henry Cavill also tagged the post with the hashtag: “#Superman.”

Regarding today’s news, this morning saw it reported that Henry Cavill is out as Superman; however, his manger was quick to refute the notion offering they are still partners with Warner Bros., and that Cavill still has the cape in his closet.
It’s known the actor and WB have been in negotiations for a return to Superman, which is confirmed to include a cameo in the upcoming Shazam! movie and possible films for Man of Steel 2 and appearances with Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.
According to various reports, both sides are playing hardball, which is what we saw play out today.
Henry Cavill is still said to be in negotiations and is not done with the Superman role just yet.
Michael B. Jordan is said to be eyed as a potential replacement for Superman if the studio decides to go in a totally different direction, but it’s said WB is presently focusing on the Supergirl film.
