Harrison Ford Injured On Star Wars: Episode VII Set

It’s reported that Harrison Ford has been injured on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII and taken to a local hospital.

“Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates,” said a statement from Disney, reports THR.

In addition, it’s stated that Harrison Ford was injured by the door of the Millennium Falcon.

Recent leaked set images revealed the Millennium Falcon and J.J. Abrams teased its return as well.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” has a December 18, 2015 release.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by LawrenceKasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer.

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.
