A potential big spoiler for Cosmic fans has landed online for Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
The Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Junior Novel has apparently been released as a user on Reddit posted information that the book possibly refences Starkawk, which is a member of the original 1969 Guardians of the Galaxy team from the comics (Gunn’s movie is based on the 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy series).
The Redditor posted an image from the novel revealing that an unnamed male character who might be Starkhawk mentions “Aleta” and “Ogord.”
In the Marvel comics, Aleta Ogord is the adoptive sister/wife to Stakar, aka Starhawk, and also a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy (long story short the two merge and become Starkhawk).
Of course it’s possible the Junior Novel could simply be going off on its own, or just maybe Aleta is some sort of Easter Egg found in the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 movie. Gunn did recently say the movie will have lots of surprises.
Another possibility is that the original Guardians of the Galaxy members appear in Gunn’s movie. There’s actually a cool fan theory out there that Sylvester Stallone is playing Charlie-27, which might even mean Michael Rosenbaum is playing another original Guardian (Vance Astro?), and it’s also been thrown out there that Sharon Stone might be Nikki.
Update: Starhawk seems to be confirmed for Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
