Godzilla: Resurgence Gets U.S Release; Listen To The Soundtrack

The Godzilla: Resurgence movie recently opened in Japan, and by all accounts, I’ve heard it’s pretty good and different than any of the other previous King of the Monsters movies (trying to avoid spoilers).

Now some of the Godzilla: Resurgence soundtrack has hit YouTube as it’s available on Amazon Japan. Have a listen to the thirteenth song, “Who Will Know,” below.

It’s also been learned at Comic-Con that Godzilla: Resurgence will have a limited theatrical release later this year as Funimation has the North American, Central American, South American and the Caribbean distribution rights, which also includes DVD, video-on-demand and broadcasting.

“Funimation is extremely pleased to be working with Toho to bring [Godzilla: Resurgence] to audiences across the Americas,” Gen Fukunaga, CEO and President of Funimation, said in a statement.

(Note: The Japanese Godzilla: Resurgence movie is unrelated to the recent American Gareth Edwards Godzilla film, which has a sequel coming out in 2020 with Godzilla Vs. King Kong.)

“Godzilla: Resurgence” is directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi, and stars Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi and Satomi Ishihara.

Synopsis:

Godzilla: Resurgence takes place in modern-day Japan, which has suffered an attack by Godzilla. The United States soon gets involved in the chaos to help Japan secure its existence.
