Kong x Godzilla: The Ride Launches This December at Lotte World Adventure

Godzilla fans are getting their first immersive theme park ride this December as Lotte World Adventure debuts Kong x Godzilla: The Ride in Seoul, South Korea. Built in collaboration with Legendary Entertainment and TOHO, the attraction brings the Monsterverse to life with a massive new multimedia dark ride.

What to Expect

Replacing the current Jungle Adventure, the new ride will be Lotte World’s biggest investment to date. Riders will experience a high-stakes adventure as Kong teams up with Godzilla to protect his kingdom. According to Lotte World CEO Oh-Sang Kwon, the ride is designed to offer a full sensory experience based on globally recognized movie IPs.

Kong x Godzilla: The Ride will offer an immersive experience into the world of global movie IP. Lotte World Adventure has always opened new horizons in theme parks through various challenges, and we will continue to strive to provide new experiences for our visitors,” said Kwon.

Monsterverse Expands

The ride arrives as Legendary’s Monsterverse continues to grow. The franchise, launched with Godzilla in 2014, has produced five films so far and pulled in more than $2.5 billion worldwide. The latest movie, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, became the top-grossing entry yet and the biggest Godzilla film ever.

A sixth film, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, is now in production with a 2027 release planned. Alongside the films, the Monsterverse also includes Apple TV+’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, with Season 2 in the works, video games, toys, graphic novels, and live experiences.

This ride marks the Monsterverse’s first step into theme parks, giving fans a new way to experience Godzilla and Kong in action.
