God of War TV Casting Rumor: Thor and Baldur Roles Reportedly Cast

New casting rumors for Amazon’s God of War TV series suggest the show has found its Baldur and Thor.

Daniel Richtman shared on Patreon that Max Parker is reportedly in talks to play Baldur, while Ólafur Darri Ólafsson is being eyed for the role of Thor.

Parker is known for his roles in Boots and Vampire Academy, while Ólafsson has appeared in Severance, The Deep, The Minister, and Lady Dynamite.

God of War TV Series Adds Shōgun and The Boys Director Frederick E.O. Toye

Director and Release Info

Frederick E.O. Toye (Shōgun, The Boys) has been tapped to direct the first two episodes. Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) is showrunning.

The show is currently in pre-production in Vancouver with casting underway. Kratos and his son are yet to be cast.

God of War has received a two-season order from Prime Video, with Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios producing in association with PlayStation Productions and Tall Ship Productions.

The story follows Kratos and his son Atreus as they journey across mythological realms to fulfill the final wish of their wife and mother, Faye.
