It’s learned GI Joe 3 is currently delayed due to Dwayne Johnson‘s busy schedule.
Byung-Hun Lee, who plays Storm Shadow, offered an update on GI Joe 3 to LRM at the Toronto Film Festival.
“I heard from the studio that there’s a possibility to do the third one, but I think they’re waiting for the actors’ schedules,” Lee said. “They’re arranging the schedules for the actors, especially Dwayne Johnson.”
It’s said Dwayne Johnson is supposed to play the lead for GI Joe 3, hence the waiting game.
Dwayne Johnson is a busy guy as of late as he recently filmed Baywatch and Fast 8, provided voice work for Moana, stars in the HBO series Ballers and has a slew of new movies in the works with the Jumaji sequel, San Andreas 2, Rampage, Doc Savage, Journey 3: From the Earth to the Moon, Journey to the Center of the Earth 4 and Shazam.
The previous two GI Joe movies grossed close to $700 million.
