Following the “surprise” appearance in The Flash, George Clooney says he is done playing Batman and that there aren’t enough drugs in the world to get him to return to playing DC’s Caped Crusader.
The end of The Flash was changed. Instead of moving forward with Ben Affleck and Batman in a Multiverse storyline adapting Final Crisis, reportedly, James Gunn made the decision to use George Clooney.
Clooney actually said he wasn’t returning as Batman in The Flash following rumors from back in 2020, but obviously, that changed.
However, now Clooney is sticking to his guns.
“I do not think there’s enough drugs in the world for me to go back,” Clooney told Entertainment Tonight rather bluntly.
Why did he decide to return in The Flash anyway?
“I thought there was such a clamor for me to come back as Batman, as you know. There was a clamor,” Clooney sarcastically responded. “I actually said, ‘Where are my rubber nipples?’ And they were like, ‘Can we do it without the rubber nipples?’ I was like, ‘Well, it’s not really my Batman, is it?’”
George Clooney starred in Batman & Robin which is among the worst-ranked DC movies on Rotten Tomatoes as the critics score is 11% and the audience score is at 16%. Only Steel, Superman IV, Supergirl, and Catwoman are lower.
Matt Reeves has Robert Pattinson as the new Batman in his universe a part of Elseworlds.
James Gunn has confirmed he is going with a new actor for his own version in the DCU.
The Flash director Andy Muschietti is directing the DCU The Brave and the Bold movie which will also feature the son of Bruce Wayne, Damian Wayne. Recently saw the big news that Matt Reeves is involved with Gunn’s DCU developing an Arkham series.
