Finn Jones Wants To Return As Iron Fist In The MCU With ‘Heroes For Hire’

Finn Jones says he wants to return as Iron Fist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he says he wants to do it with Mile Colter as Luke Cage in Heroes For Hire.

Back in January actually saw it rumored that the actor is set to return in the MCU along with a new version of Iron Fist, a female character.

Finn Jones played Danny Rand and the titular character for Marvel TV in the Netflix series back in 2017 which lasted for two seasons. He also appeared in the Luke Cage series starring Mike Colter and Defenders.

Wants the character to continue

Speaking with The Nerd Shepherd at Heroes Dutch Comic-Con in the Netherlands, Jones said he wants to be back as Iron Fist.

“Now, my intention – I would like to see the character continue. I would like to continue playing that character,” Jones said. “I think there’s still a lot of room for growth and professionally I’m at a point where I would like to continue to grow with Iron Fist.”

Wants to reteam with Mike Colter

Finn Jones also said he would like to reteam with Mike Colter in a Heroes For Hires series.

“That would be nice. I would love to see the chemistry between me and Mike again. It’s always been great,” Jones said. “I think they’re interesting characters to bring together. I think there’s a lot of great stories that can be told with those characters.”

Jones added, “If they brought me and Mike back to do a Heroes for Hire TV series, I think it would be the right way to go.”

Netflix characters are returning in the MCU

Marvel has brought back Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, and is bringing back Jon Bernthal as Punisher for Daredevil: Born Again, so maybe something could be in the works for Finn Jones and Mike Colter.

Back at the 2019 Comic-Con, Marvel insiders did fill me in there were plans to do Heroes For Hire in the MCU. If it happens, it will be interesting to see what form it takes.

Regarding the female Iron Fist in the MCU, the character is said to be debuting in the upcoming Eyes of Wakanda animated series. Marvel Comics has also retconned the history of Iron Fist where the first Iron Fist is now a female character.
