Charlie Cox says he won’t be showing up as Daredevil in Avengers: Doomsday, which if legit, is sure to upset a lot of fans.
Recall how, in that big Avengers: Endgame scene, fans wanted Cox back as Daredevil back then. Now that Cox is actually a part of the MCU, Daredevil is a no-show?
Not In The Movie
A fan asked Cox on TikTok if he would appear in Avengers: Doomsday, and he simply responded, “No.”
The short clip has been making the rounds online, confirming MCU fans’ worst fears, that Daredevil won’t be fighting Doctor Doom or assembling with the Avengers when they need him most.
Despite Marvel blending the Netflix characters into the MCU, Cox apparently isn’t suiting up for this one. He played a small role in Spider-Man: No Way Home and showed up in She-Hulk, but Doomsday isn’t on his calendar.
Cross your fingers that he’s playing coy, as it seems actors are more unwillingly to spill the beans on big surprises.
Avengers: Doomsday Release Info
The next Avengers movie is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
Directed by the Russo brothers, Doomsday will feature at least 27 Marvel characters, including Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
Daredevil Series Update
Cox has also been busy with Daredevil: Born Again, which is filming its second season. The first season premiered earlier this year on Disney+. The next batch of episodes is expected in 2026. Krysten Ritter returns as Jessica Jones. Luke Cage has also been teased for Avengers: Doomsday, and Jon Bernthal has been confirmed as Punisher for Spider-Man 4.
Marvel rebooted the series under the Disney+ banner, but it has slowly started to bring back elements from the original Netflix show, including the tone, characters, and cast. Season 2 continues to film in New York.
