Fantastic Four Sells Most Tickets of 2025? But Theaters Are Empty

We get an updated on how well(?) Fantastic Four ticket sales have been in their first 24 hours, well, sort of.

Fandango tweeted out that Fantastic Four sold more tickets in its first day than any other film this year. Well, okay. So how many is that? We don’t know.

We also don’t know whether selling “more tickets in its first day than any other film this year” even means anything. It’s really just a marketing ploy.

The shills keep shilling

Speaking of ploys, the shill sites are still running with the BS that movie ticket sites crashed due to the “high demand” of ticket sales for Fantastic Four.

Again, as I went over yesterday, like 12 Marvel shillboys “reported” sites were down on DownDetector. All the shill sites followed suit and ran with it and still are. That’s where you get your news from? Hilarious.

Captain Marvel all over again?

I can’t help but wonder if it’s going to be Captain Marvel all over again where fake ticket sales are being reported. Recall how social media users posted images of empty theaters, yet the apps showed tickets had been sold. How’d it work out for The Marvels?

Maybe part of Marvel’s marketing is to buy tickets to its own movie? My buddies in Hollywood told me that managers of movie theaters back in the day used to artificially inflate the numbers of tickets sold.

How are Fantastic Four tickets sales? Tumbleweeds

Regarding Fantastic Four tickets, are they so high in demand that they’re breaking ticket sites?

More than 24 hours later, the first Thursday RPX screening for Fantastic Four I bought tickets to, sold maybe two more sets of seats. The theater is still empty.

The 7pm IMAX is pretty full, though not sold out. The 10:15PM IMAX, however, is a ghost town, as is the 8:40PM RPX.

Friday? IMAX 7PM barely any seats sold. Same for RPX.

Of course, it is still early, and I remember early tickets for Minecraft were in the gutter. However, Minecraft had that viral marketing campaign, which Fantastic Four certainly will not. Minecraft was also a lot of fun and and already had a huge audience. Marvel’s Fantastic Four looks pretty boring, TBH, and follows Marvel’s big bombs of Thunderbolts and Captain America: Brave New World. It also looks to be another M She U movie, which fans can’t stand. Any chance they will surprise us, and FF is good?

The Fantastic Four: First Steps gets released on July 25.
