A pair of recent rumors have hit the net mentioning big money for a pair of comic book movie characters and their respective actors with it said Christian Bale was offered $50 million to reprise as Batman, and Hugh Jackman a whopping $100 million for a series of Wolverine movies.
Turns out both are not true.
Speaking with EW, Hugh Jackman flat out said the offer wasn’t true as he likes to take each movie as it comes.
“No it’s not true,” says Jackman. “I would never do that. I’ve never done that mainly because, for the fans and for me, each time I’ve gone around there’s been a really good reason to do it and I don’t know what that reason is from here. I’m in the middle of making this and I just promoted the other and I’m really happy with the way The Wolverine came out.”

And regarding Christian Bale as Batman, apparently the original source of the rumor either exaggerated or got their thoughts somehow mixed up as the initial rumor stated a gossip-style e-book had it that Bale was offered $50 million.
What actually happened was that was only talk amongst friends at a party. Nothing more.
An administrator of the Man of Steel Fan Facebook actually bought the book (which helps) and found the relevant text to clear things up.
The author of Beyond Batman, Vince Russell, shares on a page of the book that during this past year’s New Year’s Eve party he was talking with a friend about Bale being crazy to walk away from the role to which his friend responds “He could probably make $50 million for being in the movie 20 minutes…”
It was just a conversation between friends, which was highly speculative. I’ve even had these conversations with friends. But Mr. Bale was not offered $50M to play the role, in this account by the author.
