Fabian Wagner Wants Justice League Zack Snyder Director’s Cut

Fabian Wagner Wants Justice League Zack Snyder Director's Cut

Not only is it learned that Joss Whedon replaced Junkie XL in Justice League, but now it is also learned that Zack Snyder’s cinematographer, Fabian Wagner, wasn’t involved in the reshoots.

Fabian Wagner reveals to THR that he, like a lot of fans (currently over 75,000), want a Zack Snyder director’s cut of Justice League released.

“This one was even shorter than I expected, so there are scenes that aren’t in there,” Wagner said. “I really hope we get to see a director’s cut, which will give us everything that we shot that didn’t make it in. What I love about his [Snyder’s] director’s cuts is they are long, but he takes his time to tell the story. I’ve never watched any of his directors cut and thought ‘This is long.” Whether they are three hours long, or three hours and ten minutes, they always seemed to go quick.”

The article does state the reason Fabian Wagner wasn’t involved with the reshoots is because of a scheduling issue, with 2nd unit photographer Jean-Philippe Gossart having taken over for the Whedon reshoots.

Wagner also reveals a favorite scene that didn’t make it into the final version of the Justice League movie which features Batman a top of a building (pictured above).

Regarding the Zack Snyder cut, it’s been said a three-hour version exists. With fans petitioning WB and some of those involved asking for a Zack Snyder director’s cut of Justice League, let’s hope WB releases it.
