Justice League opened to a quiet $96 million this weekend disappointing at the box office and with reviewers alike.
Itâs become known that the theatrical release of Justice League isnât in line with Zack Snyderâs vision, and now fans are petitioning Warner Bros. for the home release of Zack Snyderâs reported 3-hour cut in addition to it coupled with Junkie XLâs original music score.
Over 61,000 fans have now signed the petition at Change.org which says in part, âWe the undersigned make this petition, because during the last few months, the film Justice League underwent a few changes in terms of composer and runtimeâŠâ
Joss Whedon appears to have made quite a number of changes to Justice League including being mandated to trim the movie to under 2 hours in length which obviously means lot of footage had to be cut. It seems Whedon retooled the beginning of Justice League to feature Batman, greatly cut the flashback Darkseid War scene, reshot all the Henry Cavill Superman scenes and added a lot of little jokes here and there.
Itâs pretty much a given that Zack Snyderâs Justice League was similar in tone to Man of Steel and Batman vs. Superman, but not quite as dark. It was probably a lot more epic than the theatrical versionâs release, but lightened up to differentiate it from those that werenât happy with BVS.
So similar to Suicide Squad and Batman vs. Superman, letâs hope that WB listens to its fans and offers a home version release of Zack Snyderâs Justice League.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, with the story by Chris Terrio and Zack Snyder, the screenplay by Chris Terrio and Joss Whedon, and stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe an Atlantean, Nuidis Vulko.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Supermanâs selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroesâBatman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flashâit may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
