Venom
Recent news for Venom includes that Tom Hardy has signed on for a trilogy.
“We’ve signed up for three of them. So it’s very much an open case. We’ll see what people’s responses are to it. I think it’s an awesome character. I love playing both of them,” Tom Hardy said in a recent interview. “We all prepped for it to be a standalone universe. So whatever Sony want to attach to it at a later date, it’s a fulcrum piece. But let’s see what happens when it lands.”
Sony is also building their big SUMC and wants the symbiote to crossover with Spider-Man, the MCU characters and the Avengers.
The film has an October 5, 2018 release also starring Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott and Ron Cephas Jones, with the movie described as: One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
