Despite recent confusion from the cast, Daredevil: Born Again is officially returning for a third season on Disney+.
Marvel Studios’ Brad Winderbaum confirmed to IGN that Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is happening and that filming will begin in 2026.
“In terms of Daredevil, yeah, we are greenlit for Season 3 and we start shooting next year,” Winderbaum said.
This news follows speculation fueled by Charlie Cox referring to Season 2 as the “final season” and Vincent D’Onofrio saying the show’s future depended on viewership.

Season 2 Will Set the Tone
The second season is still on the way, expected in early 2026. It will be the first full season developed under the series’ new direction following Marvel’s mid-production reboot of Born Again after fan and cast backlash.
As we first reported, the reboot was sparked by early feedback and led to a new pilot and finale being shot, bringing the tone more in line with the original Netflix series.
Season 2 is also expected to feature returning characters like Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye, and Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson. Possibly Mike Coulter’s Luke Cage.

Fans Get What They Asked For
Though it’s known viewership is among the lowest of the MCU shows on Disney+, with Season 3 now confirmed, Daredevil: Born Again appears to be finding its footing.
After a rocky first season that failed to chart on Nielsen, Marvel is banking on the stronger creative reset to keep fans engaged. We can assume that Marvel will likely drop more than one episode at a time, as it did for Ironheart, which made the Nielsen charts.
Jon Bernthal is also developing a Punisher special for Disney+ and is set to star in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Marvel has also confirmed the MCU shows on Disney+ won’t connect to the MCU films.
