Dany Garcia congratulates Henry Cavill on the success of his Netflix movie Enola Holmes with what looks to be a Superman message.
Garcia happens to not only be the manager of Henry Cavill, but she is also the co-founder of Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Production company which produces the Shazam! and Black Adam flicks for DC.
“This is my casual NOT Enola Holmes PREMIERE photo to celebrate Henry Cavill and his wonderful work as Sherlock Holmes,” posted Garcia on Instagram. “Congratulations on the movie’s 92% Rotten Tomatoes score my dear friend. Playing iconic characters is extremely challenging for actors, not only because of the preconceived expectations of how the character should be portrayed but also the audience expectations that those characters define who the actor is. HC continues to elegantly sidestep those pit falls and rise above to deliver. An icon in the making made to play iconic characters. I hope everyone enjoys the film! Here’s to what’s next.”
Rumors offer Henry Cavill back as Superman
It seems pretty obvious that Superman is being referenced when Garcia mentions: “Playing iconic characters is extremely challenging for actors, not only because of the preconceived expectations of how the character should be portrayed but also the audience expectations that those characters define who the actor is.”
We can also add not only Superman, but Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher, as The Witcher has a big following as well, and Henry hit it out of the park.
A recent rumor offers that Henry Cavill has signed a new Superman deal to appear in a bunch of movies, which Garcia seemed to tease as well, as following the rumor Garcia shared on Instagram fan art of Superman taking to the skies that says, “Hope never left @henrycavill Superman.”
What is also interesting about the rumor is that while promoting the Enola Holmes movie in different interviews, Henry Cavill wouldn’t comment on the rumor of him returning as Superman, so it sounds like there are talks or maybe it’s already a done deal, but Cavill and his team can’t go public about it just yet.
Enola Holmes is now on Netflix.
