Not specific plot details about the Sgt. Rock movie are known. In DC Comics lore, Sgt. Rock is one of DC Comics’ most iconic war heroes, created by writer Robert Kanigher and artist Joe Kubert. Debuting in Our Army at War #83 in 1959, the character became the face of the series, which was later renamed Sgt. Rock.

Frank Rock, better known as Sgt. Rock, is the tough-as-nails leader of Easy Company, a band of diverse and loyal soldiers fighting during World War II. Rock is known for his unwavering sense of duty, leadership under fire, and his trademark gear: a Thompson submachine gun, a grenadier’s belt, and a stoic expression beneath his combat helmet.

Despite the harsh realities of war, Rock often reflects a moral core, standing as a symbol of bravery and humanity amid chaos. His stories blend gritty action with poignant moments that explore the human cost of conflict.

A Sgt. Rock movie has been in development at one time or another with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis previously said to be up for the role.

It’s also unclear if this will be a part of James Gunn’s DCU or if the Sgt. Rock movie will be considered “Elseworlds,” similar to Matt Reeves’ Batman movies and universe, and the Todd Phillips Joker flicks.
