Daisy Ridley’ new action movie, Cleaner, is currently getting destroyed by critics over at Rotten Tomatoes.
With 55 reviews, the Rotten Tomatoes Score is currently at a 49% Rotten.

The negative reviews for Cleaner largely criticize it as an uninspired Die Hard knockoff that fails to bring anything new to the action genre. Many critics point out that the film borrows heavily from the 1988 classic without adding unique twists, making it feel like a retread rather than a fresh take.

Cleaner is listed as having been released on Friday, Feb. 21st; however, neither Fandango nor Regal list any theaters. We’ll update when we know more.
What is Cleaner about?
Cleaner is set in present-day London. A group of radical activists, led by Clive Owen, take over an energy company’s annual gala, seizing 300 hostages in order to expose the corruption of the hosts. Their just cause is hijacked by an extremist within their ranks, who is ready to murder everyone in the building to send his anarchic message to the world. It falls to an ex-soldier turned window cleaner, played by Daisy Ridley, suspended 50 storeys up on the outside of the building, to save those trapped inside.
What’s next with Daisy Ridley and Star Wars?
The Daisy Ridley Star Wars: New Jedi Order (rumored title) movie is said to still be in development with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy directing. The most recent update is that the film is on its fourth writer with George Nolfi who recently talked how the approach needs to honor tradition. Reports have even offered that Daisy Ridley is the future of Star Wars.
Ridley also recently said she’s open to joining both the Marvel and DC universes.
