Cody Rhodes Wants To Play Black Bolt In Inhumans TV Series

With Vin Diesel out, former WWE superstar Cody Rhodes wants to play Black Bolt for the Marvel TV and IMAX Inhumans series.

Cody Rhodes, no stranger to playing cosmic characters as he was known as Stardust in wrestling, stated he is actively pursuing Black Bolt. Rhodes is also no stranger to the comic book world as he recently was featured on Arrow opposite Stephen Amell, whom he feuded with in the WWE.

“I will fully disclose that I have been actively pursuing a couple of roles, that being one,” Rhodes said about Black Bolt in an interview with Bleeding Cool. “I now have uprooted, moved to LA, to look into acting more, especially after the Arrow episode. So that would mean the world to me if that were to happen. And we’re actively looking into it. I’m all about it.”

Cody Rhodes even says Black Bolt is one of his favorites.

“[Black Bolt is] one of the best characters in all comics. The idea that a simple, spoken word could blow a room up is just… I dig everything that is Black Bolt,” Rhodes said.

Marvel TV has yet to announce actors for the Inhumans TV series, which was recently just announced. The Inhumans TV series will first debut on IMAX with two episodes prior to airing on ABC.

Would Cody Rhodes make a good Black Bolt?
