A list of names has surfaced for actresses testing for the roles of Black Canary and Huntress for the DC Birds of Prey film, with Margot Robbie set to reprise as Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad.
Up for Black Canary includes: Gugu Mbatha-Raw (A Wrinkle in Time, Cloverfield: Pardox, Beauty and the Beast, Belle), Jurnee Smolett-Bell (Lovecraft Country, Sofia the First, Underground) and Janelle Monae (Hidden Figures).
Testing for Huntress includes: Sofia Boutella (The Mummy), Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane, Fargo) and Cristin Milioti (Wolf of Wall Street, Black Mirror, How I Met Your Mother).
It's further said Justina Machado (One Day at a Time, Jane the Virgin,The Purge: Anarchy) and Roberta Colindrez (I Love Dick, Vida) also tested for the role of Renee Montoya, a lesbian detective on the Gotham City police force.
Cassandra Kain is said to be a part of the movie, who is also known as Batgirl in the DC Comics, with it said the Birds of Prey flick is retooling the role for an asian character around 12 years old.

The villain of the movie will be the Black Mask.
It's also been rumored that WB wants Lady Gaga for a role.
A description for the plot states: After splitting up with The Joker, Harley Quinn and three other female superheroes – Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya – come together to save the life of a little girl (Cassandra Cain) from an evil crime lord.
Filming is set to start next year directed by Cathy Yan under the working title "Fox Force Five," which is a reference to a television show in Pulp Fiction that never made it past its pilot episode and starred Mia Wallace, who refers to the show as her "fifteen minutes."
