Ben Affleck Signs For New Movie With Gavin O’Connor

With the news about James Gunn comes a small tidbit regarding Ben Affleck signing on for a new movie with director Gavin O’Connor, who was previously attached to direct Suicide Squad 2.

Regarding Gunn, it’s reported he will be writing Suicide Squad 2 and will possibly direct, depending on how things turn out.

Getting back to Ben Affleck, Deadline reports Warner Bros. had director Gavin O’Connor attached to Suicide Squad 2, but O’Connor is now engaged in directing Ben Affleck in the Brad Ingelsby-scripted drama Torrance, which is also at WB.

Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck was recently spotted at WB with a script in hand, leading many fans to speculate it might be for The Batman, but now it could be for this Gavin O’Connor movie.

It’s still unknown if Ben Affleck will return to the Batman role, but the actor was seemingly teased on Instagram returning to the character, and Affleck has been training for something, which sees him as rather buff.

The Gavin O’Connor Suicide Squad 2 movie is actually rumored to have been spun into the Birds of Prey Margot Robbie Harley Quinn film, which gets released February 20, 2020 also starring Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress.

The James Gunn Suicide Squad 2 version is said to be a brand new take on the DC property.
