Per the norm, fan reaction is split regarding why the need for a superhero movie to be rated-R (that’s not Deadpool). While some are in favor of potentially seeing Batman knock the crud out of the villains (and Superman?), others are questioning whether or not we’ll get a Batman who will swear or even Superman more violent than killing Zod in Man of Steel.
It is possible the R-rated director’s cut of Batman Vs. Superman could feature numerous f-bombs as I believe one f-bomb is allowed in PG-13 rated movies; however, the MPAA specifically mentions violence, so we could see a lot more blood and gore than we’re used to (for instance in the Nolan Batman movies or the Marvel “popcorn” films).
Below you can check out Twitter reactions (the first two are mine) to the news, and you can head on over to our Facebook to get in on the discussion as well.

Don’t be upset that you see Batman V Superman’s Extended Cut being rated R as bad, really, just shows how bad the MPAA is.

Making a “Rated R version” of Batman v Superman won’t stop it from being awful…IF it’s awful.

The Director’s Cut of Batman V. Superman is going to be rated R because of violence. Finally a movie in which Superman tears a baby in half.

Seriously, what the f— could you put in a Batman v Superman movie to make it rated R? 2 “f—s” from a petty crook? This is so stupid.
— L.I. Prodigy (@maskedProdigy) February 24, 2016
Why doesn’t Batman v Superman need to be rated R? You’re f—ing kidding me. That has got to be a joke.

Maybe one of the reasons Batman V Superman is rated R is because it’ll show A scene of Batman beating the holy hell out/torturing of Joker
