With James Wan currently filming Aquaman in Australia, a rumor has hit the net regarding the costumes of both Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s bad guy, Black Manta.
According to an Aquaman fan Instagram account (via Aquaman Shrine on Twitter and Reddit) the concept art shown at Comic-Con reveals:
• Jason Momo’a Aquaman concept art is more form fitting than shown in the Justice League movie, less ornate with golden and orange scales with green pants, which might be the look of this statue:
• Regarding Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Black Manta, which has yet to be revealed in any footage, it’s said the Aquaman movie version costume for Black Manta is similar to the comic book art.
Aquaman has a December 21, 2018 release starring Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm the Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, with Temuera Morrison as Aquaman’s father, Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman is playing the mother to Aquaman, Queen Atlanna, and Dolph Ludgren is King Nereus.
