Anthony Mackie Confirms Tom Holland For ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

Anthony Mackie looks to have just confirmed himself and Tom Holland for Avengers: Doomsday, meaning both Captain America and Spider-Man will be present in the film which is set to feature the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom to the MCU.

What does Anthony Mackie say?

Tuesday night at the Captain America: Brave New World Red Carpet premiere, Variety handed Anthony Mackie the mic, as Mackie has a message for Tom Holland.

“Hey, Tom. Looking forward to seeing you when I get to London, baby. You’re beautiful,” said Mackie.

Variety also pointed out that Mackie got his movie, as Tom Holland would make fun of Mackie for not having his own movie.

“Oh! That goes without saying,” responded Mackie with a big smile. “I don’t state the obvious.”

Mackie also filled in Deadline, “We shoot in London through the summer and then the following summer we shoot the next one [Avengers: Secret Wars]. It’s going to be a full slate.”

Avengers: Doomsday films in London

It has been reported that Marvel Studios will film Avengers: Doomsday in the UK starting next month, so Mackie’s message to Holland syncs up.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on May 1, 2026, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. In addition to Robert Downey Jr., and it looking like Anthony Mackie and Tom Holland, the cast reportedly includes The Fantastic Four members—Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Pedro Pascal. Hayley Atwell and Chris Evans are also said to be returning, along with members of the Thunderbolts, including Wyatt Russell.

Captain America: Brave New World gets released on Thursday with advanced previews and officially on Friday.
