It all makes sense now as if Deadpool 3 was going to remain at Fox it would have featured Wolverine, most likely played by Hugh Jackman.
Reynolds confirmed Deadpool 3 with Wolverine in a tweet promoting a mental health charity.
“It’s critical to have open, honest and healthy discussions around mental health,” tweeted Reynolds Thursday. “By retweeting #BellLetsTalk you can make a difference. In case that’s not enough, before Disney bought Fox, Deadpool 3 was gonna be a road trip between Deadpool and Logan. Rashomon style. For real.”
Some fans might have thought Reynolds was joking, but Reynolds replied, “I’m not.”

Deadpool, Wolverine coming to the MCU
Regarding how it all makes sense, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have been having a social media “feud” for quite a while, which was probably being used to build up to Deadpool 3 with Wolverine at Fox.
Both Reynolds and Jackman have previously teased more from Deadpool and Wolverine, with Reynolds previously stating he did want a crossover with Jackman and Wolverine.
The bad news is that with Reynolds revealing the Fox Deadpool 3 would have featured Wolverine, and with Disney purchasing Fox, which means Marvel now owns Deadpool, the MCU version of Deadpool 3 probably won’t feature Hugh Jackman or Wolverine.
The good news is that the MCU version of Deadpool will still be rated R.
Rumors offer Wolverine in the MCU will be recast, that Marvel execs are excited to do so, but at the same time, it has been rumored fans might not like what Feige does with Wolverine and the X-Men.
